Lion City Orchestra

The “live” funk & soul band from the creators of Pushin’On returns to Blu Jaz Café this month. You may have seen them last in May this year, where a packed Blu Jaz Café danced along to the furious funk and gritty soul of the Lion City Orchestra. On 9th Oct, you can do it all over again.

We’ll unveil the new line-up, who will be performing hits from legends such as Al Wilson, Donny Hathaway, James Brown, Betty Davis, Pearl Dowell and Myra Barnes. And not forgetting hit songs from present day acts such as Eli Reed & The True Loves, The Brand New Heavies and The Bamboos. The LCO will also be performing their unreleased tunes such the soul-stomper “You Ain’t Ready”, the heart-wrenching “Don’t Let a Good Woman Go” and the summertime happy soul of “Until You Say Yes”.

On top of this, The Lion City Orchestra celebrates its 1st anniversary! 12 months ago, the LCO debuted with a blend of funk, soul, rare groove and the desire to make people dance. We’d love to see you there.
