"Songwriting Idol" (Songwriting Contest)

Come and be enthralled by the songwriting talents of amateur local songwriters from all walks of life in this little songwriting contest jointly-organised by the Songcraft Songwriting Circle and Musical Theatre Limited (MTL).

A group of songwriters will be performing their original songs based on a given theme set by the organiser, and you are encouraged to cast your vote for your favourite songwriter.

An attractive prize awaits the winner of this inaugural "Songwriting Idol" contest.

Make sure to come down to vote for your favourite songwriter!

This little contest is open to all members and friends of the Songcraft Songwriting Circle and MTL.

Contest limited to a maximum of 12 entrants, so do hurry!

THE CONTEST:

It's very simple - A few weeks before the contest day, all the contestants will be informed of the theme for which they will have to write ONE new song about, and this song will have to be performed at the contest.

The winner of the contest is decided purely based on number of votes from those in attendance that night.

There will only be one prize for this contest.
